The describing words! π¨
An adjective describes or gives more information about a noun. It answers the questions: What kind? Which one? How many? How much?
"Add colour to your words β ADJECTIVES paint the picture!"
Without adjectives, everything would be boring! Instead of "a dog", we could say "a fluffy, brown, friendly dog". Those extra words are adjectives!
Adjectives usually come before the noun they describe, or after linking verbs like is, seems, looks, feels.
π― Adjectives in Both Positions:
Before noun: "She has a beautiful voice."
After verb: "Her voice is beautiful."

There's more to adjectives than just colour and size! Here are all the types:
The most common type! Describes what a noun looks, feels, sounds, smells, or tastes like.
tall Β· red Β· loud Β· sweet Β· soft Β· scary Β· happy Β· dark Β· tiny
Tells how many or how much of something. Can be a number or a quantity word.
one Β· five Β· many Β· few Β· several Β· much Β· some Β· all Β· no Β· enough
Points to a specific noun. Shows which one you mean β near or far!

Near: this/these Β· Far: that/those
Shows who owns or has a relationship with the noun. Always followed by a noun!
my Β· your Β· his Β· her Β· its Β· our Β· their
Used in questions to ask about a noun. Always before the noun it questions!

Comes from a proper noun (a specific name). Always starts with a capital letter!

Adjectives have three levels of comparison. Use them to compare things!
